Union Twp. Branch Outlook Good

Thanks to everyone who attended the recent ODOT meeting to discuss the road improvement project that could possibly affect the new Union Twp. Branch Library.

Executive Director Dave Mezack offers his thoughts:

“The meeting was well attended by members of the public, the Library Board of Trustees , Administration, and UT staff. From a personal perspective and opinion, and after listening to comments made by ODOT representatives, and other authorities, I do not believe there will be any impact to the new Union Township Library property, at least for the foreseeable future. In short, and in my opinion,  I remain confident the new library will remain untouched for quite some time.”

Road Project Could Impact Future Of New Library

Clermont County Public Library encourages all members of the public to attend a public meeting concerning the future of the new Union Township Branch Library.

The meeting is scheduled for September 28, 2011 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Union Township Civic Center, 4350 Aicholtz Road, to discuss plans related to Route 32 and the Eastern Corridor Project.

The proposed project plans have changed in such a way that the Union Township Branch Library site may now be impacted.

We’re Still Open!

Construction on the new Union Twp. Branch Library

This photo of the new Union Township Branch Library was taken on June 29, 2011 and you can finally see the building taking shape. We know the community is eagerly awaiting the grand opening, as are we! But we also wanted to make sure you knew something very important:

The current Union Township Branch is still open!

The current Union Township Branch is located at 4462 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd., Cincinnati and open for business! We received some calls and comments that let us know we needed to clear up this confusion right away, as some people thought we were closed until the new branch opened! The operating hours for the Union Twp. Branch Library are the same as for the other nine branches in the system:

Mon-Tues, 12-8
Wed-Thur, 10-6
Fri-Sat, 9-5

Not only is the branch still open, but there are a handful of family-friendly programs being offered this summer. Stop into the branch and say hi!
