Countdown to Grand Opening

The grand opening is almost here! We can’t wait for you to see the branch in person. Until then, enjoy this interview and tour of the new Union Twp. Branch Library. Thank you to Kathy Lehr and the staff at Clermont Today!

UNION TWP. BRANCH LIBRARY GRAND OPENING, SUNDAY JANUARY 29, 1-3PM

The grand opening of the new Union Township Branch Library will take place on Sunday, January 29, 1-3pm at 4450 Glen-Este Withamsville Rd., Cincinnati.

The former location of the Union Township Branch, 4462 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd., was recently sold. The library is asking that customers not drop off any materials at the former location, as they will not be retrieved. Customers can now return items to the material bins located outside at the new Union Township location, 4450 Glen Este-Withamsville.

“The new library branch is still under construction so we’re asking the public to please not enter the branch,” said Executive Director David Mezack. “Everything is on schedule for the January 29 grand opening. We’re positive the unveiling of the new branch is going to be worth the wait.”

During the grand opening, take a tour of the new facilities and be sure to checkout the woodland-themed kids’ area. Other activities scheduled for the day include:

  • Performance by the library’s Hands Up! Puppet Troupe
  • Facepainting for kids
  • Wii & xbox gaming sessions
  • Live performance and music by the Anderson Senior Steppers
  • Meet Browser, the library’s new mascot
  • Register to win the doorprize – a Kindle eReader
  • Light refreshments will be served

Hope to see you there!
